The 2.25 lb aluminum-bedded 2958 is Remington's standard military / varmint / Sendero stock and will take whatever your field duty can throw at it ... and then some ... for years to come. My Remington 700™ Sendero in SAUM came from the factory with one, as did the last Remington 700™ Police .308 I saw.

The ambedextrous grip is designed to keep the hand in precise alignment with the trigger. There is no raised cheekpiece so they work well in either hand, and the tapered butt design keeps recoil off your face. The forend is widened to a beavertail so they not only hold steady but are also scaled to look great with heavy barrels and provide for great stability off any rest or bipod. The drop-in design is factory-fit for the medium-heavy barrels found standard on 700 Police™ models, 700 SPS Varmint™ and Tactical™, 700 VTR™ etc. and is reputed to give you the free-floating barrel everyone seeks right out of the box. Snug the receiver screws to the precision aluminum bedding block and you'll see what your barreled action is really capable of.

The #2949 ADL is a specialized, ultralight 26 oz.(blind magazine) aluminum pillar bedded Medalist® stock Remington used to put on their $1040 Model 700™ LV SF (Light Varmint Stainless Fluted, black). I happen to like it but the 2958 and 2956 both outsell it these days. I suspect it's the blind magazine that steers folks away, because it sure is a nice, light stock and would be a top choice to lighten things up on any new coyote rifle.

Layers of hand-laid fiberglass and Aramid mats encased in a virtually indestructable carbon-composite shell results in not only a unit that will take just about anything your hunt can throw at you, but one of the finest fitting precision handles available for todays sporting arms. Bell & Carlson stocks are designed for a free-floating barrel, (some exceptions) and come in all the finishes, including the web and dipped-camouflage patterns. The spiderwebs offer improved gripping texture and look like about twice the money and are highly recommended.

Reliable over a temperature range of -50°F to + 140°F and all B&C stocks are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Warranty card is included in the box with your purchase.

Great stockReview by Jason
I'm really happy with this stock. It's fairly light but also stiff. The inleting was machined accurately and everything dropped in nicely. I smoothed out any roughness in the barrel channel with some sandpaper wrapped on a socket but this probably wasn't necessary. The gun shoots very accurately with this stock and I was able to shoot my first elk, a 4x4 bull with it. It was an offhand shot at over 100 yards so I'm glad I wasn't giving up any accuracy to the equipment. (Posted on 10/28/2015)
B&C Medalist #2958 Police / Sendero / Varmint StockReview by John
After a lot of research, I decided to try this stock on my Remington 700 SPS Tactical. I wasn't sure about this decision since I liked several models from B & C. After ordering, with a flawless order process, I received the stock in three days. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The fit and finish was excellent and I am now glad I went this route. The stock design rides the sandbag nicely, has a comfortable recoil pad and nice secure sling studs. The only thing I did, which I didn't really need to do, was to lightly sand the barrel channel to remove the high spots left from the molding process. Thhis took about 2 minutes with a dowel rod and 300 grit sand paper. Now the "dollar bill" test passes with flying colors. I compared the accuracy before removing the factory Hogue Rubber Molded Stock using Federal Premium .223 Remington 69 gr. Sierra Matchking BTHP Gold Medal Match. My best 100 yard group originally was 1.59 inches. With the new B & C Medalist stock I was able to get a five shot group a .57 inches at 100 yards. I can't wait to see what happens when I tinker with hand loads. For the money, the B & C stocks are the best value going and Stocky's is the place to buy if you want ease of ordering and fast shipping. I will gladly order from them again on future projects. Excellent service excellent stockReview by Henry
I ordered this stock and it is a perfect fit for my Remington 700 sps varmint. I chose the wrong shipping method and stockys notified me that they could not use the method I chose so they changed the shipping to UPS 3 day and they covered the extra cost I will definitely be buying from stockys again (Posted on 8/6/2015)
B&C medalist is greatReview by Steve
Recently purchased the 2958 police/sendaro stock for my 700sps tactical. Fit was drop in perfect,a little light sanding of excess material by the edges of the aluminum and that was it. Barrel channel passes the old dollar bill test, but its close, just may open it up a bit. Added a Timney trigger (staight shoe) and a KRG bolt lift knob. The old girl is looking pretty good now. Very pleased with this purchase and with Stockys service and shipping. (Posted on 2/7/2015)
