Our new 700 VG Hunter is a classic vertical grip hand laminated sporting riflestock designed specifically to the profile of Remington 700 rifles as well as the various precision receivers. It is the choice for the rifleman that wants to shed every ounce possible in a short or long action receiver.

 Weighing in at just 26 ounces, it is our lightest, handiest Vertical Grip for the demanding 700 precision rifle hunter.

Stocky’s Take: This is the smaller, lighter brother to our full-size VG2, designed for those that wish to shed every last ounce of weight but still maintain the fast-handling, precision-holding appeal of the renowned VG2. It is ideal for 18” to 24” barrels popular in these lightweight builds, but still looks great with the 26” units. Comes in both the BDL as well as the PTG AICS detachable conversion triggerguards.

Just as with our newest 700 Hunter, the VG Hunter comes in both 700 and non-700 versions. We also make a version called the Vertical Grip Mini (VGM) scaled down for the various mini receivers such as the Howa and the Modern Seven Remington.

 - VG2™ - despite the name this was our first CF Vertical Grip stock offered. It is best identified by the “swoop” on its forend and its 31.25” overall length. Offered for Remington 700 / precision clones as well as many other factory rifles. Perfect for the longest and thickest barrels incl. Proof CF Sendero.

 - UltraCarbon™ 700 VG Hunter (VGH) - this is a lighter, slightly shorter (29.5”) version tailored for receivers such as the Howa 1500 and Tikka T3x. These are generally available in sporting, varmint and factory carbon barrel channels with factory OEM triggerguards.

 - NEW UltraCarbon™ 700 Vertical Grip Hunter - (this stock) this is the famous Hunter 1500 stock adjusted to fit the Remington 700 Precision Receivers perfectly. The grip-to-tang region is streamlined to precisely follow the contour of the factory 700 and aftermarket precision metal.
