The new Lightweight Hunter by Proof Research™ is virtually the same stock you'll find on the Elevation and Glacier rifles, packaged exclusively for Stocky's® as a separate component. Weighing in at less than 20 ounces (1.2 lbs), when coupled with a Proof Sendero (or Sendero Light) barrel it is reasonable to expect your finished rifle will weigh approximately 5.5 to 6.5 lbs. depending upon the receiver you use. Just a few short years ago you'd have to spend over twice as much money and use skinny, whippy barrels to achieve a mountain rifle that light.
