H-S Precision Detachable Mag System 700 BDL Only
These are the highest quality DM's on the market today - choice of professionals worldwide. Matte black, Teflon® coated stainless steel construction. Center feed design. Fits Remington 700 only.
H-S Precision Assemblies include one H-S Precision Magazine, no interchangability with other brands. No annoying side button slots in the stock to interfere with carrying as with Remington DM's for example.
Proof Research Barrels are available in Stainless Steel Buttoned Rifled, Stainless Steel Cut Rifled, or Carbon Fiber Cut Rifled
Button Rifled Barrels Specs:
- 27 inch 416R Stainless Steel Barrel Blanks
- They are shipped ready to be cut to any length, chambered and fitted by qualified gunsmith.
- PROOF 416R arrives at our factory in long lengths and is then cut to finished barrel length. The barrels are then drilled, contoured and reamed to the bore diameter of the cartridge for which they are to be chambered. The barrels are then button rifled, hand lapped and inspected with a bore scope.
- BUTTON RIFLED barrels are rifled by drawing a groove-sized "button" through the drilled blank. Button rifling creates a very smooth and uniform interior bore surface free from tool marks and other machining issues and are therefore less expensive than cut-rifled barrels.
Cut Rifled Barrels Specs:
- PROOF 416R arrives at your door tapered to finish-out at a 26" length PLUS the muzzle break if desired. The barrels are then drilled, contoured and reamed to the bore diameter of the cartridge for which they are to be chambered. Every barrel is then 5R cut rifled, hand lapped and inspected with a bore scope for superior quality and consistency.
- They are shipped ready to be threaded and crowned to any length up to 26" (plus break), chambered and fitted by qualified gunsmith.
Carbon Fiber Wrapped Barrels Specs:
- Avaiable in different lengths and calibers.
- Your bolt-action barrel will arrive ready for thread and chamber by your gunsmith.
