H-S Precision Pro-Series Steel DM Bottom Metal/Trigger Guard Assembly - Remington 700 BDL
These are the highest quality DM's on the market today - choice of professionals worldwide. Matte black, Teflon® coated stainless steel construction. Center feed design. Fits Remington 700 only.
Works with most 700 BDL stocks of the appropriate action length, does not usually drop in but fitting is very minor. H-S Precision stocks are drop-in except the small amount above the latch housing on some stocks. This is the way they are designed. Other brand stocks may require the edges of the magazine to be fitted as well.
H-S Precision Assemblies include one H-S Precision Magazine, no interchangability with other brands. No annoying side button slots in the stock to interfere with carrying as with Remington DM's for example. One of the few systems on the market engineered to be anti-rattle.
Stocky's Take: It is no secret these are my favorite magazines for any purpose. They feed smoothly from the center so any feeding issues a gunbuilder may be experiencing are immediately corrected. The low capacity units are perfect for hunting not only because they are low profile (double stack centerfeed) but also the sharp magazine edges are ingeniously covered so they don't bite into your hand. Same goes for the high-caps not to mention the added layer of protection against damage. They last forever and seem to get better with age and use.
One thing you don't want in the field are metallic noises that animals associate with hunters. Not only do these slip in quietly and positively, the anti-rattle mechanism keeps them from emitting any annoying noises that spook game. Speaking of noise, they also eliminate the working-of-actions and / or catridges dumping out of a standard BDL mag box and into the dirt.
The lines get long when they go on backorder so if you want one get it now and don't forget your extra clips! Fully warranteed by H-S Precision for construction and reliability. These are the New Gen 2 models. Gen 2 magazines will not work with the Gen 1 assemblies. If unsure as to which one you have just give us a call.

I have a Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 that I installed in a B&C stock. I bought the HS Precision DBM system (10 round version) with the understanding that a little modification to the B&C stock would be necessary. Literally 10 minutes after opening the box, the rifle was reassembled with it's new DBM in place and I was cycling dummy rounds through it! I used a small dremel and hand file, but honestly the hand file was all I really needed. (Just would've taken a few minutes longer). Now I have the convenience of a well-engineered box magazine and the install was painless. Now I just need a couple more magazines! I purchased the H-S Precision bottom metal (308 w/10 round magazine) for my Remington 700 ADL. I replaced the ADL stock with a BDL and with minor tooling and sanding I was able to fit the bottom metal in place. This was a major improvement in usability and precision for my rifle..what a pleasure to shoot now..next will be a black tactical BDL stock... (Posted on 5/23/2015)Rating
