If you are looking for a fast-handling unit the Pro-Series Sporter stock for Remington 700 SA & Model Seven rifles would be the best possible choice for any and all hunting applications with standard or short magnum cartridges. It sports an ambedextrous design (bolt handle on right only), and nicely streamined for fast-handling and fast follow-up shooting. The full length aluminum chassis runs from the back of the grip to the forend tip and is exposed where contact with the receiver is desired.
Bolt your barreled action into this one, it will get all the accuracy out of it there is to get with the right loads. Furthermore, once zeroed, you'll rarely see a change of impact (unless your rifle undergoes some rough handling or you change loads) as the hi-tech carbon/aluminum construction varies little with temperature or humidity, rigidly attaching the receiver to the stock. In this business, Rigidity is Accuracy and Dependability. When that first shot is the one that counts why count on anything less?

Stocky's take: The PSS 045 and 050 have been in the lineup for some time, the new PSS 094 was designed for H-S Precision's new 5.75 lb PHL custom rifle ($3175). The 045/050 weigh in at about 2 lbs, the 094 a full half-pound lighter. With the shorter 29" overall length, I'd stick with a shorter barrel, 22" would be the ideal and 20" is not too short. A 24" or 26" would work fine, I'm just making my suggestions here.
