AccuBlock® Aluminum Bedding! The finest laminated heavy-barrel, vertical grip riflestocks in the widest selection of colors available today!

based on our testing as well as literally thousands of happy customers, we think you'll agree this is the most accurate out-of-the-box wooden stock ever made on a production basis. In fact, Stocky feels the AccuBlock® is single most important development since laminates first came to town.

Precision CNC machined 6061-T6 has been shown to reduce harmonics (vibrations) under stress and that quality, combined with it's reputation for accuracy and durability, is the reason we have chosen that particular metallurgy for this premium stock. The "V" runs parallel the entire length of the block allowing for the 0.028" variations of 700 reciever diameters to all nestle snugly into the block.(1) We have integrated shallow grooves the full length of the block for the express purpose of holding more bedding epoxy if you decide to "skim bed" the block (this is optional).(2) Additionally, aluminum pillars are inserted into machined recesses in the bottom of the AccuBlock®, completing the solid aluminum top-to bottom bedding platform.

The proven vertical-grip target design of the stock was inspired by the time-tested Anschutz riflestock silhouette. The Stocky Long Range Target features an ambidextrous butt section perfect for the 40mm - 56mm objective target and tactical style scopes popular on today's most accurate rifles. The grip sports the new vertical design with an enhanced palm swell to put your finger gently and comfortably on the trigger for maximum control on the most popular light-pull precision firing mechanisms.

The forend is gracefully tapered in an upward angle so simply sliding it gently forward and aft on the bags (or other rest) while sighting yields subtle vertical corrections without sacrificing concentration, position or sight picture. The wide beavertail forend design sports a slight radius on the bottom, continuing up the sides for an extremely comfortable hand grip when desired, plus it allows the easy addition of most popular bipods (front bipod stud included) without the need for a flat forend adapters or other attachment aids. In other words, we think you'll agree it's ideal for bags, bipod or field shooting.

In keeping with the other choices in our "Long Range" line of premium riflestocks we've kept the famous mirror-gloss finish on the brighter colors and continue to offer our no-spook matte on the more appropriate, field-oriented colors. (It may interest you to know that you can change the patina it comes in by simply scuffing them with some 400 grit emery cloth and putting on another coat or two of the desired reflectivity.)

Photos don't do them justice, especially the high gloss units. In this world full of mundane black plastic stocks they truly shine. If you are looking for a real showpiece, this 'd be the one.

AccuBlock Features & Benefits:

  • Precision CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum bedding block reduces hamonics / vibration;
  • V-Block allows for the various diameters of Rem 700 recievers produced over the years.(1)
  • Integrated skim bedding channels if bedding is desired (bedding is completely optional);(2)

Citation (1): We have measured a variation of 0.028" (about 30 thousandths) on typical Remington 700 receiver diameters over the years. This means the ordinary round bottom "U" shaped bedding blocks must be cut for the largest common (one fit all) denominator, resulting in a loose fit the vast majority of the time. Therefore undersized receivers typically have one or two non-symetrical bering points - the bottom of the "U" and one side or the other, depending on various factors. The new Stocky AccuBlock® incorporates two strategically placed contact points on either side of the block, producing a "V" style block with just one one contact point per side. In this way even the narrowest 700 receiver will nestle snugly into the block for maximum precision.
Citation (2): After speaking with many of our more experienced customers / precision riflesmiths the composite aluminum block stocks we offer (i.e. Bell & Carlson Medalists) we have observed that it is very popular to "Skim Bed" even the most precise aluminum block stocks. This involves adding a very small amount of epoxy (perhaps a teaspoon to a tablespoon) under the reciever behind the recoil lug to fill in any variation in the bedding whatsoever. These folks are perfectionists. Since there is no harm in providing the bedding grooves they requested, we have listened and done so. We stress that skim bedding is completely optional and we have rarely, if ever noticed any improvement skim bedding standard factory rifles, nor do we even recommend doing so except for the most demanding of applications. You can get the epoxy shipped with your stock if you prefer to do this.

A Great Addition for Serious ShootersReview by robert

My Hart heavy varmint barrel and 700 receiver arrived and it fits into the LRT stock like a glove with no movement in the receiver. The barrel is centered along the channel and the gap passes the dollar test for free floating. Purchased a new base plate in stainless steel along with a new magazine spring and follower. Overall very pleased with the purchase. (Posted on 12/3/2018)

I originally purchased this stock for a rifle I assembled for my girl. It is a bone stock 700 SDS chambered in .233 with a 26" barrel. The factory plastic stock had to go. Once this stock arrived and I installed the barreled action, only then did this rifle feel complete. The fit is perfect and finish is flawless. The thing I liked about it mostly was the fact that the rifle is I longer barrel heavy due to the wood stock. You can now actually shoot this rifle offhand with great consistency. I was so impressed I immediately ordered a second in solid walnut and have just purchased a 700 SDS tactical with a 20" barrel to put into the stock. Some of the best money I've spent in a while. I was tired of all the black gun/military paint rifles you see EVERYWHERE and wanted to have a hybrid. I like the tactical stock with the high comb, but love the look of wood. Buy one if you are thinking about it, you'll be pleasantly surprised ! (Posted on 5/15/2016)
Meets the 3F_ Fit, Form and FunctionReview by Kevin

After searching around for a couple weeks I decided on this stock for my rifle build.
The price doesn't say anything about the quality. Once I got the stock in my hands I couldn't believe how well it feels in my hand and the bedding block fit into the wood is absolutely perfect. Palm swell feels great. Finish I ordered the satin because I intend to hunt with this rifle as well punch holes in paper. My barrel is a #8 Shilen which the stock will need to be opened up for in the breach area. I do plan on bedding the action some day but I plan on shooting it first to make that final decision.
Conclusion: the 3 f's. Fit, Form and Function
All 3 F's have been met. (Posted on 12/27/2015)
Right out of the boxReview by Bill

I received my new laminated stock today. It fit right out of the box! No fitting or tweaking I'm not used to this in this day and age where close enough is good enough. I give it a 9.5 out of10. To give it a 10 it would need stippling or checkering on the grip which I would have gladly paid for. Keep up the good work. (Posted on 11/10/2015)
Excellent rifle stockReview by Randy

I ordered and received the Bobby Hart LRT stock in red and grey with the glossy finish. I am pleased to say that the colors are very clean and bright and the glossy finish gives the stock a nice shine and extremely smooth finish. The stock itself is very well constructed, the aluminum block is finished in the stock so cleanly that there are no ledges or rough spots between the wood and the aluminum. It is also bedded clear through the action screw holes, so there's metal to metal contact from top to bottom. I found that when mounting the action, the V-Block design does cradle the action evenly and supplies constant pressure throughout when the screws are torqued down. The palm swell is quite large and fills the hand perfectly while on the trigger. This stock will definitely add some weight to your rifle over the plastic stock it's probably replacing, but that combined with the pachmyer decel pad makes it a very comfortable shoot. I mounted a 7mm RSAUM barreled action to my stock and stuck a Vortex Razor optic and a bipod on it. It sits at just a touch over 13 lbs but man is it a fun gun to shoot now and accuracy is 100% better than when on the plastic stock. I will definitely buy this model of stock again and would recommend it to anyone shooting for accuracy. (Posted on 8/28/2015)

Replaced SPS-Varmint stock with this stock. Gun now is shooting great. After adjusting scope, put 7 shots in .75 " Installation was easy, even for this first timer. Needed to order xl screws because original front screw was not long enough. Trimming screw was easy too. Great customer service. Thanks. (Posted on 8/27/2015)

I've purchased and installed two B&C stocks and one wood stock this year prior to ordering this stock. Even though all were for different rifles, the fit and finish with this stock was far superior in quality. In comparison, these stocks seem under priced. Great buy, highly recommend!
