Designed with an ultimate goal in mind, ruggedness, stability, accuracy, and ergonomics. Each one is engineered to exceed any type of abuse that you can put it through. You can depend on Tom Manner's tactical line of stocks. A lot of work went into developing the Tactical Series stocks. These stocks are engineered for the correct stiffness to weight ratio using state of the art processes during manufacturing. The outer shells are made with 35% aircraft grade carbon fiber and 65% fiber glass in multiple layers. They are hand laid with high temperature epoxy resins, placed under a vacuum, and heat cured to obtain the perfect resin to fabric weight ratio. Standard configuration stocks come full inletted with a pillar set that is ready to install at time of bedding. All of these tactical stocks come standard with a premuim painted finish in a solid color of your choice. This stock comes in two versions the T2A which has an adjustable cheek and the T2 that is non adjustable. This page features the T2. Standard is a fixed 1? Pachmyer Decel pad. It can also be ordered with the optional butt spacer system with a Pachmyer Decelerator pad also. The one I just weighed went 3.6 lbs without the clip. The forend is 2.40” wide at the tip and will take barrels up to 1.350 inches in diameter. A lot of work went into the design of the back of the stock. It has a flat that is about 3/4? wide on the bottom with true running sides. This allows the stock to ride very straight and true when using a rear bag. The MCS-T2 was designed around a Rem 700 style action, but can be had for Winchester, Savage, Howa and other actions. The MCS-T was designed around an Rem 700 style actionand includes the outstanding Mini-Chassis Detachable Magazine system. The Manners MCS-DBM mini chassis system incorporates the best of both worlds. A mid-length aluminum chassis and a heavy-duty trigger guard that accepts the time proven Accuracy International style 5 and 10 round mags. This system is made exclusively for us by Badger Ordnance out of solid billet Aircraft grade aluminum and then Hardcoat anodized black so that it will take a lifetime of punishment. When combined with one of our bullet proof stocks, we consider this a true bolt in and go system. The sturdy aluminum chassis with its self centering bedding system is designed to support the action with 5 different contact points. This is done to compensate for the slight variances found from action to action. When installed, you will have a repeatable bedding system that supports a fully floated barrel for maximum accuracy. This will work with all Remington based 700 short and long foot print actions with a factory or custom recoil lug with a thickness up to .375”. When ordered with a new stock as shown the system will come fully installed and ready to go at no additional charge. The system includes grade 5 TORX® screws and one 5 round magazine. We are now happy to offer the GAP Camo molded in finish. By virtue of being molded-into the actual lay-up of the stock, it utilizes a procedure to mold the finish into the stock while maintaining their signature crisp corners. This is very similar to the making of a fiberglass yacht hull, for example. By doing this Manner's maintains a super strong shell with less of a chance of chipping. Note that GAP Camo is considered a Field-Grade finish. What this means is that small imperfections may be visible in the finish such as mold lines (seams), sanding marks and fiberglass cloth. They are a sanded to a matte finish which minimize reflections. The base color on GAP Camo is olive drab, with black and tan accents.
They do their best to maintain the color balance of the Camo, but each one is done by hand and two stocks are never the same. If for any reason the balance is not what you expected, you can send your stock to Manners and they will be more than happy to refinish in a solid painted finish.
