The Pro-Series Sporter stock for Mark V rifles would be the best possible choice for any and all hunting applications with standard or magnum cartridges. It sports a right hand only design with a raised cheekpiece and is nicely streamined for fast-handling and fast follow-up shooting. The full length aluminum chassis runs from the back of the grip to the forend tip and is exposed where contact with the receiver is desired.
Bolt your rifle into this one and go shooting, it will get all the accuracy out of it there is to get with the right loads. Furthermore, once zeroed, you'll rarely see a change of impact (unless your rifle undergoes some rough handling or you change loads) as the hi-tech carbon/aluminum construction varies little with temperature or humidity, rigidly attaching the receiver to the stock. Stockys take: This is the OEM Monte Carlo version of the H-S Precision Sporter stocks. The #2 channel is the standard Weatherby sporter, #3 is the AccuMark, varmint and big bore channel. Big bores may have an extra barrel lug so if that is the case you'd have to break out your Dremel and make a spot for it. If you do not know what barrel contour you have the best way to find out is to simply call the factory. The 9 lug refers to the number of locking lugs at the front of the bolt. These are for the American or Japanese actions. These will not work with the German models.
