Stocky's is happy to introduce the new Featherweight (FT) Thumbhole Sporter Riflestock. This latest design combines the buttstock elements that made them famous: the rollover cheek for straight-back recoil reduction and lightening scope acquisition, palm swell pistol-grip thumbhole for the vertical-grip trigger control and recoil absorption that has made the thumbhole itself the fastest growing category of gunstock on the market today.

Pay special attention to the forend - it has been widened into a beavertail as well as ventilated to enhance barrel cooling, plus lightening channels have been made to keep the ounces off. Very similar in appearance to the varmint versions but exclusively for sporters. (Cannot be modified for use with muzzles heavier than .700") Compare these quality features and benefits:
- Flattened forearm conforms naturally to the hand for steady off-hand shooting or control off sandbags
- Side vents permit the free floating barrel to cool
- Large rollover cheekpiece and hand conforming thumbhole allow the shooter to steadily aim and shoot with increased accuracy while distributing the recoil among the palm and shoulder thus minimizing muzzle jump
- Made of Stratabond® Laminate for stability, strength and beauty
- Internal material of the forend and butt have been removed to reduce weight NOT durability
- ½” leather-look rubber recoil pad for non-slip shouldering
- Laboratory acid based satin finish proven to resist chemical and harsh weather conditions
- 100% "drop in" fit – anyone can install with little if any modification (see tech support page for details)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This design is advertised by some manufacturers to be much lighter than they actually are so know that going in, our scales tip 2.7 lbs.. NOT recommended for magnums without epoxy bedding! If you want the best quality laminate on the market today that will hold up under magnum recoil check out Stocky's Long Range Sporter or the Classic Sporter Thumbhole.
