Remington 700 BDL SA Riflestock Walnut Tip Grip Pad E1

Boyds Rem 700 Short  Action CDL (Fits BDL & SPS too) Magnum Reinforced Classic Claro Walnut Rifle Stock - Unit E1
Solid Walnut w/ Ebony Tip, Grip and Recoil Pad (.204,.223,.243, .22-250, .260, 308, 270 WSM, 7mm RSAUM, .300 Short Mag, .325 WSM etc.)

Completely finished with carved cheekpiece. Includes butt pad and sling swivel studs. Little or no fitting required on sporters and minor barrel floating magnums. They are among the easiest stocks to glass bed with or without pillars. Very clean looking stocks and a drop-in fit for all short action 700 rifles as outlined herein. These are solid wood.

Includes thick ventilated recoil pad, drilled for your sling swivel studs. Made for BDL (hinged floorplate) 700's. Easily modified for Detachable Magazine 700s by filing the slots in the side for the release buttons prior to finishing, or see other listings for factory-built DM stocks like this one.

A note about using rifles chambered for standard cartridges in magnum barrel channels: The difference in thickness averages 0.030" (thirty-thousandths of an inch). That is .015" on either side, about the thickness of a piece of common gray cardboard or thereabouts. Well, when you put a lightweight barrel in a magnum inlet there's gunna be a gap. Picking nits I know but every load there's always one or 2 guys accusing me of selling them the wrong stock so don't let this come as a suprise. Rifle prints 1/2" groups this way but every time they go hunting they stare at the dam gap and swear at Stocky instead of watching the game trail so if that's you please know this going in - you gun will shoot like a house afire but there's a space down either side of the barrel from the looks standpoint. I wouldn't recommend it on a Mountain Rifle but it wouldn't bother me on a standard BDL. Short Mags fit like a glove ....We have the largest selection of stocks on the internet - 100's of styles, models and colors on hand and ready to ship TODAY - Over 110,000 choices available online - all popular styles, makes, models & colors - See our ad in Shotgun News!

The wood construction also improves the balance and heft of the rifle. Unlike comparable synthetics you'll enjoy a very solid feel, and are among the easiest sporters to hold steady on distant targets. Many argue that they are the most durable ... I have a strong tendancy to agree. Unless your horse stands directly on the magazine box I can't imagine how you'd break one and even then I wouldn't bet against it. I've accidentally had them drop onto a concrete floor with not so much as a nick in the thick catalyzed finish.

In other words, you can bet that it will quickly become your go-to-gun in the lions share of situations. You may even end up with several.

  • Lightest Weight
  • Fastest-Handling
  • Excellent Rifle Balance
  • Reduces Felt Recoil
  • Speeds Target Acquisition
  • Improves Repeat Shootability
  • Improves Accuracy
  • Ding Resistant, Waterproof Finish

Pedigree:
Designed by the noted firearms/hunting writer Jon R. Sundra, this stock is a synthesis of all the fast-handling and easy-to-carry design elements found in the most elegant examples of the Classic Style. Fans of these units agree they are the best-looking, most reliable and fastest hunting handles money can buy.

The slender, somewhat open grip is well defined, but does not extend too far below the toe line. The comb is parallel to the bore, which aids scope use, and because of its straight-line design, minimizes cheek slap under recoil. Additional facial support is provided by a graceful cheekpiece that blends perfectly with the overall shape of the buttstock. The forend is flat-oval in cross-section, and proportioned to complement barrels of 18-26” in length.
