A note about using rifles chambered for standard cartridges in magnum barrel channels: The difference in thickness averages 0.030" (thirty-thousandths of an inch). That is .015" on either side, about the thickness of a piece of common gray cardboard or thereabouts.

Stockys Take: Nothing wrong other than a ding or two or perhaps dull spots(s) in the finish etc.. Put another topcoat on if you want to but not necessary to do so. Outstanding hunting stocks. All include magnum reinforcement, 1" Deluxe Pad, ... a steal of a deal.
