A top-of-the-line centerfire thumbhole, the LRS is a tremendous value in premium quality laminated riflestocks. Photos don't do them justice, especially the high gloss units. In this world full of mundane black plastic stocks they truly shine. If you are looking for a real showpiece, this'd be the one.

This is the preferred model for standard and magnum barrel rifles.

Best for long range work, the thumbhole stock has been widely acclaimed as the most accurate and softest-recoiling field stock on the market. It is also a very handsome stock, sporting an improved tapered thumbhole, perfectly placed palm-swell and state-of-the-art engineering.

Stocky's Take: The LRS forend is a "drop-in fit" for standard sporters and magnum barrel channels with little or no modification necessary for most rifles. (Always be sure to check for fit and function prior to live firing.)

All Remington 700 BDL stocks are designed only for "BDL/CDL/SPS-Style" rifles. ADL's can be converted to BDLs with these Conversion Kits. Those with Remington Detachable Magazines will work if you are willing to file the release button slots yourself or convert to BDL's as described.

Savage / Stevens 200 Short Action (fits the newer 4.40" Top Load / Centerfeed only) stocks have been fitted to the Stevens 200 barreled action, very minor modifications may be necessary for other models (such as the Savage 10 short action.) These units are for blind magazines (no floorplate, trigger guard inlet only.) You may either convert your rifle to a blind magazine (just get a few inexpensive parts by calling Savage's parts department, click here for the parts needed) if it's not already, or have the bottom of the stock machined for your hinged or DM floorplate by a qualified individual.

Commercial Large Ring Mark X Mauser units (i.e. Interarms, Rem 798, Charles Daly 1200, etc.) now in stock (click here for a photo with important details.) Important note: These LRS Mauser stocks have been designed from scratch specifically for the latest crop of Remington 798 and Interarms Mark X rifles. They have many features not found on any other aftermarket M98 thumbhole and come with a Pachmayr 1/2" rubber buttpad, not a Decelerator to keep the length of pull a nominal 13.5". They feature a special epoxy bedded reinforcement pin and red 'fire' indicator for the sliding safety. The bolt handle slot has been cut for commercial bolt handle contours (occassionally a slight adjustment is reported), plus have the magazine release notch for Remington 798 version of the rifle. As with any Mauser aftermarket stock we always state "minor fitting may be necessary," but I tend to believe there will be little if any on commercial barreled actions as we have considerable experience with this particular inlet. Military K98's, etc. will most likely require some adjustment at least in the bolt handle region and floorplate because those rifles tend to vary quite a bit.

NOTE: We got a very few birch stocks in a Limited Edition "Zebra" Gray and Tan laminate. (They were supposed to be Birch but Rutland laminated gray in place of brown, but they look way too good to send back.) I strongly recommend grabbing one before they are sold out!
