Completely finished Rem OEM style CDL stocks. Come standard with raised, carved cheekpiece. Includes Remington R3 recoil pad, ebony tip & grip cap and drilled for your sling swivel studs. Cut for Detachable Mag rifles but BDL's CDLs and SPSs work fine as-is if you don't mind the button slots on the side.
If you want a slick set-up the parts are available from Remington to convert ANY 700 to a clip-fed model with no gunsmithing or special talent required.
Step 1. Call Remington Parts at 1-800-243-9700 ext 2409 - ask for Part # :
- F105835 Blue Long Action;
- F105836 SS Long Action;
as of today they are $35.90 plus the clip(s) for your cartridge are about $45 each, vary per caliber. We are not planning on carrying the conversion kits at this time as these stocks are a one-time deal.
Step 2. Drop-in the barreled action, use your screws (we carry new screws if you need them) and go shooting with little or no tinkering.
It's that easy. Now aren't you glad you have a Remington? Aren't you glad you shop at StockysStocks.com?
(Now, how many are going to email us to verify this? Really, it's true. Swear. No, honest, there is nothing else required no matter what your uncle Teddy told you.)
Scratch & Dent AS/IS Discounted Pricing - If you are a regular customer you've seen similar items from us before - you know that we are always on the lookout for outstanding bargains without compromising quality. (Please do not confuse our 2nds with our premium quality merchandise - we ALWAYS identify these items in the listings.) Please don't ask for photo's of the individual dings or defects - we know 'you'd take it if you could just see it' but there's over 200 stocks and too little time to get things done as it is. If you are bothered by this enough to need pics please take a pass, plenty of guys out there that know a steal when they see one and we have plenty of premium items for sale elsewhere in the store at excellent discounted retail prices! Please be aware that we do our level best to achieve full disclosure but there may be something minor that was overlooked.
A note about using rifles chambered for standard cartridges in magnum barrel channels: The difference in thickness averages 0.030" (thirty-thousandths of an inch). That is .015" on either side, about the thickness of a piece of common gray cardboard or thereabouts. Do not recommend you put a mountain rifle in a magnum channel stock like this! Rifle may print 1/2" groups this way but every time you go hunting you'll stare at the dam gap and swear at Stocky instead of watching the game trail so if that's you please know this going in - you gun will shoot like a house afire but you're on your own from the looks standpoint if you have a skinny barrel. Guess it's a matter of priorities, hell is it a hunting trip or a fashion show??
Short Mags are ideal and fit like a glove .... standard barrels are fine in the opinion of most.
Stockys Take: Nothing wrong other than a ding or two or perhaps dull spots(s) in the finish etc.. Easily repaired if you want to but not necessary to do so. Outstanding hunting stocks. All include magnum reinforcement, R3 Pad, ebony tip and grip accents ... a steal of a deal. We sold over 300 of these last year and guys are still calling asking about them so here's your chance.
