Premier™ Thumbhole Style
This handsome thumbhole design lines your hands, arms and torso with the barrel so you can shoot more accurately and with reduced 'jittering'. The Monte Carlo cheek piece results in straight-line recoil for improved scope alignment and less muzzle jump. The thumbhole has a noticable palm swell for a more comfortable gripping surface. Grip is canted slightly for better trigger control. Includes Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad and Uncle Mikes'® sling swivel studs. Sporter barrels only - note the Ruger is for older tang safety rifles, not Mark IIs. We do not carry inventory of these stocks on hand, always a special order (see Stocky's Take below.)

Premier™ Weatherby-Style Thumbhole
This thumbhole design combines the features of a thumbhole stock with the typical Weatherby styling. #2 barrel channel. It has the identical Monte Carlo style cheek piece of a factory original Weatherby accented with a palm- swell thumbhole which provides for better grip and control. Was offered by Weatherby as original equipment. Floorplate inlets on this stock do not seem to be as accurate as the Bell & Carlson Medalist™ Weatherby Style Stocks on the whole.
T101-*Weatherby MK V, Long Action
Fits Japanese and U.S.A. long actions, #2 barrel channel. #1 channels are a loose fit and should be bedded. Inletting required for second recoil lug on the barrel in calibers .378 and above, extensive modifications required to fit German actions.

Stocky's take: This is the lightest thumbhole stock on the market, averaging a tad over 2 lbs. If you have a 700 long action, you owe it to yourself to check out the H-S Precision Pro-Series 2000 Sporter Thumbhole Stocks - Remington 700 BDL Long Action also, we carry those in stock normally. The straight scoop: In our experience these stocks seem to vary in fit more than Medalists therefore you must be prepared to make the appropriate adjustments when ordering, but they do have some real advantages so are worth the effort. Sometimes this requires epoxy bedding for best results. Most retailers should not carry them for this reason, we have elected to continue to offer them on a special order basis because our customer base is more gun-savvy and includes many professionals - we do not want to make some suffer because of those that don't want to make the necessary accommodation to mount them correctly. Please do not order one if you are not prepared to do this as special orders are not returnable.
*Barrel channel and magazine box area modifications may be required for magnum calibers and/or heavy barrels. Magnum calibers should have the embedded steel lug. (i.e. .300, .338, .375, .378, .416, .458, .460, etc.)
