When a laminated blank is made, the color-dyed hardwood sheets are compressed in synthetic resin permanently bonded under thousands of pounds of pressure. This process completely impregnates the wood pores with a transparent synthetic material. This means that these stocks have all of the advantages of plastic stocks without the dull look, feel and muzzle-heavy balance of an injection-mold or fiberglass unit.
