It's widely held that laminated stocks create the best combination of wood-like beauty, balance, durability and accuracy of all gunstocks available. However it is not well known why:
When a laminated blank is made, the color-dyed hardwood sheets are compressed in synthetic resin permanently bonded under thousands of pounds of pressure. This process completely impregnates the wood pores with a transparent synthetic material. This means that these stocks have all of the advantages of plastic stocks without the dull look, feel and muzzle-heavy balance of an injection-mold or fiberglass unit. Perhaps most importantly, they are far more silent in the woods ... no game-spooking "tink-tink" sound when accidentally tapped by a limb or neck-slung game call in the field.
They can be easily glass bedded with or without pillars, and may be adjusted for muzzle diameters up to .75" or so, not recommended for palma's/bulls but excellent for standard cartridges, stalkers and short-mags. The flats are just under one-inch at the forend tip at the tip so let that be your guide.
