Boyds' Evolution Laminated Stock Ruger 10/22, Marlin 917, & Remington 597 VIP Unfinished
 Ambidextrous Design! I would describe the new Evolution as the finest all-around rimfire stock available! As an updated version of the extremely popular Barracuda, the Evo is sure to be a hit. This stock features excellent weight distribution for holding comfort, a large open grip area to fit any size hand, along with right and left-hand cheekpiece for compatibility to any shooter. All qualities add to the comfort and stability of the stock for more accurate shooting, even lighter in weight than the Barracuda! Since the forend drops below the barrel, sporters and .920" target barrels work well! This silhouette design, like all of our laminated rimfire stocks, is excellent for serious competitors or simple recreation. It features a high comb for large diameter scopes. Unfinished VIP - sanding and clearcoat finishing is required, that is why this unit is about 40-50% less than the finished units! Exteriors are completely shaped, and in areas of wood to metal fit, they have left proud wood over metal so you can do final fitting to get that perfect wood to metal fit. The broad faces of stock are rough sanded to a 100 grit scratch pattern. Tight radius's have machining marks filed out for added ease of final sanding. See Stock Finishing for detailed instructions.
