Will it Fit?
Without having your gun here we must rely on your observations. Even in this age of automation most of our products continue to be created by craftsmen, not machines. Also many firearms, even production models, have been subject to significant variations over the years. Perhaps 1 out of 20 that are sold will need some minor adjustments to get a perfect fit. Basically, you need to know 3 things before you even start:
- Is it a long or short action?
If you have a .223, .243, 6mm, .257, .308 or similar length cartridge you most likely have a short action. Conversely, the .25-06, .270, .280, .30-06, 7mm Mag, .300 Mag, .300 RUM, 8mm Mag, .338 Mag, .375 H&H or similar you have a Long Action rifle. See the Tech Support section of this store for an illustrated discussion.
- How do you unload your magazine?
If you cannot remember, be sure it's unloaded, turn your gun over and look. Is there a Detatchable Box Magazine, Hinged Floorplate or is it 'Blind' (wood underside)? Photos are on the Tech Support page.
- What kind of barrel does it have?
Is it a Featherweight? Standard Sporter? Magnum? Sendaro? Varmint? Police? Bull Barrel? Most stocks are made for standard sporters, but there are many available for the heavier tubes as well. Don't fret, though - if your favorite stock only comes in the FBC or factory barrel channel, it will likely be a simple matter to make the adjustment yourself. See Tech Support for pics and instructions.
- Your satisfaction is assured with our 10 day money back guarantee, see the Customer Service section for details.
